The Public Enterprise for Forest Management of Vojvodina

The Public Enterprise for Forest Management of Vojvodina (Javno preduzeće „Vojvodinašume“) is a budgetary organization founded by the Parliament of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Its seat is located in Petrovaradin (Serbia). This company is acting as a lead beneficiary in the current project.

The organization performs its tasks in the structure of six organizational units as follows:

• 4 forestry estates (Sremska Mitrovica, Novi Sad, Sombor and Pančevo),
• Lovoturs – unit specialized for hunting,
• Turist – unit specialized for tourism.

The main activities of the company are the following:

• forest breeding, forest protection,
• forest maintenance and forest regeneration,
• production of forest seeds and nursery planting stock,
• growing of new forests and plantations,
• forest using and non-wood products,
• hunting and game breeding, meat processing,
• agricultural production and fishery,
• wholesale and retail trade,
• management of protected natural goods,
• tourism and catering,
• research and development.
